DIRECTOR OF YOUTH MINISTRY PART-TIME

St. Andrew United Methodist Church is seeking a Director of Youth Ministry to lead and direct our youth programs. A successful candidate must be an innovator with strong organizational skills, high energy, and ability to effectively communicate with youth 6 -12 grades and parents, passion for building and expanding the current program.

Must have a passion for Christ demonstrated through a love of youth with a commitment to their spiritual development. Responsibilities would be primarily with teens 12 and up, but must effectively supervise current adult leaders, lead parents and recruit other adults to serve with and as youth leaders. SAUMC’s Youth Ministry is ministry is ministry in Christ with youth, by youth, and for youth with adults guiding, coordinating, mentoring, and coaching.

Sunday night 678 and Senior Youth programs, would be primary responsibility, growing youth participation in Sunday worship and other worship experiences with youth, mission projects, music and develop new programs as needed.. The youth director must be able to work with parents, lay volunteers, children’s ministry director, and other program ministries area as a part of a cooperative ministry team. The director is responsible for communication and connecting the congregation with the culture of youth through their home life, school, community, mission, service, and special interest.

Kirkwood United Methodist Church (210 West Adams, Kirkwood, MO 63122) is looking for a Christian, mission-driven person to create worship media, improve and maintain the church web site and create and oversee all forms of communication to church members and the community. Worship Arts Responsibilities
Worship Arts responsibilities will be fluid based on the needs of the ministry and the candidate’s gifts. Responsibilities will include:

- Serving as a member of the Worship Planning Team (volunteers who brainstorm creative ideas for Worship Services)
- Planning Worship Services and communications for worship
- Charting music using software
- Helping coordinate special events (Let It Be Christmas, U2Charist, etc.)

Media Responsibilities:

- Must be able to identify media concepts, develop projects in a timely manner, and be able to produce high-quality graphics and video.

- Creating and editing videos to supplement Sermon Series, individual Messages, and church-wide events
- Ensuring that all created graphic content is integrated onto the website, digital TV displays, newsletter, and printed media
- Managing a system of website updating so that all information is current, correct, and clearly communicates to first-time guests as well the KUMC family
- Helping solve basic IT issues for church staff, and serving as a liason between the staff and a team of volunteers to troubleshoot significant IT issues – preferred.

The children and youth director plays a major role in the faith development of all ages within the church, both as a leader and as an example. FUMC seeks a person who has a solid understanding of the foundations of the Christian faith, is willing to be loyal to the United Methodist tradition, and who has a strong desire to nurture children and youth in the Christian faith.
