Worship Arts Responsibilities
Worship Arts responsibilities will be fluid based on the needs of the ministry and the candidate’s gifts. Responsibilities will include:
- Serving as a member of the Worship Planning Team (volunteers who brainstorm creative ideas for Worship Services)
- Planning Worship Services and communications for worship
- Charting music using software
- Helping coordinate special events (Let It Be Christmas, U2Charist, etc.)
- Outreach for youth led worship and communications ENGAGE (Wed youth worship)
- Other duties as assigned
Media Responsibilities:
- Must be able to identify media concepts, develop projects in a timely manner, and be able to produce high-quality graphics and video.
- Overseeing the creation of computer-generated graphics to help communicate Sermon Series, individual Messages, and church-wide events
- Creating and editing videos to supplement Sermon Series, individual Messages, and church-wide events
- Ensuring that all created graphic content is integrated onto the website, digital TV displays, newsletter, and printed media
- Managing a system of website updating so that all information is current, correct, and clearly communicates to first-time guests as well the KUMC family
- Helping solve basic IT issues for church staff, and serving as a liason between the staff and a team of volunteers to troubleshoot significant IT issues – preferred.

The children and youth director plays a major role in the faith development of all ages within the church, both as a leader and as an example. FUMC seeks a person who has a solid understanding of the foundations of the Christian faith, is willing to be loyal to the United Methodist tradition, and who has a strong desire to nurture children and youth in the Christian faith. We seek a person who generates new ideas and programs, and who values a team concept of ministry.
