RESOLUTIONS OF THE 54TH SESSION - SOUTH ANNUAL CONFERENCE
R1/2009. Rev Eduardo Filipe Ângelo, will continue to serve as Gaza DS for one more year.
R2/2009. Rev Vasconcelos Vasco Zitha will continue serve as Inhambane South DS for one more year.
R3/2009. Rev Boaventura Alfredo Mazive will continue serve as Morrumbene South DS for one more year.
R4/2009. Rev Benedito Francisco Faduco Mapswanganhe, will continue serve as Inhambane West DS for one more year.
R5/2009. Madangela UMC in Morrumbene South will be called “Amélia Anglaze” UMC
R6/2009. Jogo UMC in Morrumbene South will be called “Bispo Almeida Penicela” UMC.
R7/2009. Machaniça UMC in Vilanculos will be called “Bento Sales Massingue” UMC.
R8/2009. Goxane UMC in Morrumbene North will be called “Matsinhe” UMC.
R9/2009. Faiquete UMC is accepted as Patoral charge in Inhambane North district
R11/2009. A new Statistic map for the annual conference is approved.
R12/2009. A 20% increase in salary was increased for all church workers of the United Methodist Church for the year 2010, being:
Local Pastor ………………………………… 2.423,00MTX20% = 2.907,60MT ($106 USD)
Trained Pastor ………………………………. 3.718,00MTX20% = 4.464,60MT ($163 USD)
DS ………………………………. 4.680,00MTX20% = 5.616,00MT ($208 USD)
R15/2009. The following [8] were accepted to enroll in Seminary: Hélder Jossias, Diamantino Samuel Nhatsave, Paulino Samuel Nhatsave, Edymil Eugénio Massuque, Ermelinda Silva Magudo, Danicio Arlindo Munguambe, Paulino Castro Manguele and Joaquim Antonio Mafuiane.
R16/2009. Rev. José Jaime Zavale was accepted to elevate his level of education.
R17/2009. Rev. Idalia Helena Mário Mucanze was accepted to further her studies in theology.
R18/2009. Rev. Boaventura Alfredo Mazive was accepted to study English.
R19/2009. The request from Rev. Maria João Massingue was renewed to study development philosophy.
R20/2009. Rev. Mateus Afonso Mucambe’s request to continue his theology studies was accepted.
R21/2009. It was renewed the request from Rev. Medy José Jeremias to further her education in theology.
R22/2009. The following were approved as candidates to Deacons by the Annual Conference:
Alberto Juma Mussa, Alfatilio S. B. Huó, Calton Lameque Ngale, Eugénio Sebastião, Fernando Amos Cumbane, Francisco Rungo, Moisés Zeferino, Rafael Mário Sitoi, Uinge Salatiel Guiruta, Ana Rufina Daniel, Ernesto Filipe, Lurdes Rafael Mbalango, Wache Benedito Manuel, Anselmo Vasco Chidala, Merim Francisco Aloi, Rosa Constantino Cumbane, Emília Rosa Covane, Luís Tenasse Marengule.
R23/2009. The following were ordained Itinerant Deacons:
Alexandrina Nassone Chume, Micas Alfredo Munguambe, Nelia Pedro Chicavele, Luís Tenasse Marengula, Adelina Rafael Chilundo, Mersina Arnaldo Novele, Antonio Xavier, Vasco Alberto e Ernesto José.
R24/2009. The following were ordained Itinerant Elders:
Benjamim A. Chivale, Cornélio José Cucheza, Filomena Samuel Basquete, Bernardo Montinho, Antonio Xavier, Marta Ricardina Cossa e Olívia Manuel Malevo.
R25/2009. Cecília Isaac Banze was ordained Local Deaconess.
R26/2009. Geraldo Nataniel was ordained Local Elder.
R27/2009. Rev. Elias Chipanela retired as recommended due to his age.
R28/2009. The production of credential card for Pastors based on the category was recommended.
R29/2009. A sabbatical license was issued to Rev. Ana Maria Francisco for one year due to her health situation.
R30/2009. A curricular reform of Cambine Seminary was approved, reducing the training period to 3 years [from 4] beginning 2010.
