Mozambique Advocacy

Mozambique Initiative advocacy addresses social justics issues such as HIV/AIDS and domestic violence which continue to have an impact on Mozambique. By advocating on behalf of the people, we can affect legislation that has an impact on Mozambique.

In 2003 and 2004, in partnership with Bread for the World, we asked the U.S. government to "Keep the Promise on Hunger and Health" by fully funding the Millennium Challenge Account and the U.S. AIDS Emergency Plan. Mozambique was among the first 15 countries to receive funds from 2005-2008.
