Mozambique Transportation for Pastors and District Superintendents

In 1999 Missouris United Methodist Men raised funds to send so that every pastor in Mozambique could be supplied with a bicycle.  But District Superintendents continue to need transportation to travel great distances to visit the churches in their districts. Several superintendents have motorbikes or vehicles. Others need to go as much as 85 kilometers (one way) just to serve communion in parishes where there is no ordained clergy. Their work is made all that much more difficult due to transportation constraints. There is a goal to have motorbikes for all the 24 District Superintendents.
