This opportunity provides United Methodist congregations, church groups and individuals the means and opportunity for support for the Mozambique Initiative Representative.
The Mozambique Initiative gives assistance to current and retired pastors and their families, supports humanitarian projects such as safe water and malaria prevention and provides leadership development opportunities for seminary students. MI also allows for a cultural exchange and strengthening of relationships between churches in Mozambique and the United States, as well as transforming lives in both places.
The Mozambique Initiative’s ministries continue to expand in the numbers of relationships and connection between Missouri and Mozambique. In addition to contributions for the support of the growing number of churches, pastors and students, we also need direct support for the staff required to arrange, organize, communicate and travel to keep these relationships flourishing. In order for the Mozambique Initiative to continue its work in a fruitful manner, covenant support for Ezequiel Nhantumbo is needed.
Hundreds of individuals, groups and churches have been blessed by the 20+ year partnership between the Missouri Conference and the United Methodist Church in Mozambique (Igreja Metodista Unida em Mozambique).
The success of the Mozambique Initiative (MI) would not be possible without MI representative Ezequiel Nhantumbo (Ezy).
Since 2002, Ezy has tirelessly served the Mozambique Initiative and provides day to day coordination, communication and frequent itineration, to make this ministry a reality on the ground in Mozambique. Despite the barriers of geography, language, culture, economics, difficult and sometimes dangerous travel, Ezy helps make sure that the goals of the Mozambique Initiative are accomplished.
Through his experience and dedication, Ezequiel faithfully:
